1997 Olds Aurora. V8. Auto. Gasoline fuel. 4 doors. I bought this car in 2005 with 50K miles from a dealer who acquired from original owner (I wasd told). Served me well. Now has around 109K miles. I use it every weekend to travel to No Ga. around 300 miles r/t. Most millage was hiway miles. I retired in 2006 and I own 4 Auroras plus a truck. I think is time to start selling my Aurora collection. If you are not familiar with the Aurora, Google it out and read about it. It was sold in 1997 around 36 K dls and uses the NorthStar V8 engine. I understand that it was desing for used cars racing. Sound system is unique. Heated seats (nice). sunroof. Climate control driver and passenger. Child proof doors. Seat comfortable 4 people. Large trunk (you can access from the back seat). Air bags. It has a computer readout who tells you almost anything you want to know (millage, Volts, Oil changes, ETA, date etc). The spare doughnut tire is new.
This car literally flies. You get 60 mph in seconds. Very economic, you get around 25 mpg in the hiway. This is one best kept secret in America. I still don't understand why GM stopped making it. The good news is, if you look in eBay you can get plenty of spare parts for this car. Also I noticed some dealer are unloading hundreds of parts because 'this car is not being made anymore. Parts are very reasonable in price. I replace the fuel pump (for a brand new one) in one of these Auroras and the cost was around $120. Couple weeks back I saw one sold (a 1998) in eBay for $9200 with (68K miles). When I have a problem I look in several blogs (Aurora owners) and I usually find solutions and how to fix it. Normally I do most repairs. It comes with two remote wireless clickers. The engine in this car is also used is some Cadillacs cars.
Condition of this car. I give a 9 out of 10. Of course is ten years old car. Pictures will show a couple small paint scratches. TIres are still in good conditions. The interior is also very good. The driver seat in the left hand side has small (around 4 inches) worn out. Radio, Cd player, cassette player working good. Im trying to remember what else could be in needs of repair but I cant recall of anything else. If I do I'll list it here. I had never had an accident with this car during my ownership. I bought the car report when I gought it and I didnt see any problem at that time. GM had a recall for the fuel lines several years back. I change the oil in my cars around 4,000 miles. If oil is changed around 3 moths I never add any oil. If I go more than that I check the oil level and add a quarter if needed. Computer tells you if you need oil or water immediatly. My younger daughter drove this car in the last 3 months with her child, but she doesnt want to drive an old people's car....lol.
We have here in Macon several shops where you can call and have this car check out. I can give you names if you want. I'd be more than happy to take it there for you, but you are responsible for the bill. You may need to have your credit card number ready when you call the shop.....No sales taxes in this car. Title is clear and ready for the new owner. One of the pic shows my others three Auroras. Soon will post another one. I need $300 dls deposit after the bidding closes and the balance cash before the pick up. If the initial deposit of $300 dls is not made in the next 24 hours of the ending of this bidding, this car wiil be relisted. The color of this car is like a light blue almost silver. Now the title which is says is a duplicate listed as blue (inside is blue). It doesn't make $en$e to spend thousand of dollars in a car when you can buy an Aurora for way less. If you dont buy this car, buy one somewhere you wont be sorry.
