1983 Mercur Capri-Turbo RS only 381 Total Made
Hello, Im the 3rd owner of this awesome car. It was donated to the local community college automotive program by the original owner. It needed some repairs from sitting in his garage for several years without being driven much. Little stuff like the battery and alternator, tune up fluid flush including the fuel tank was done. Got the car roaring to life once again and it was sold to a good friend and fellow student. He drove the car all of 100 miles and parked it. I bugged him for 2 years, then he sold it to me. Since I bought the car, I have only driven it about 2k miles. Its been non-opped and just hanging around the house since then.
This is truly a rare car, not like all the Mustangs you see on Ebay claiming to be a rare car. If you want to count options and color code and all that, this car is one of a kind. It has some very rare, Capri only options, its a rare color, and its one of the most sought after Capris made. Ford resumed manufacturing Turbo RS Capris late in 83' after a break due to leaking intake manifolds, so not many were built or sold.
The car is in awesome shape, it runs very well, stops, steers, and pulls great. It is almost all original, with the exception of the metric TRX wheels, an IHI turbo, E6 exhaust manifold, and a top-mount Tbird intercooler. The body is straight, probably has a couple dings I never even noticed, and the paint is in good shape too but a little faded. The interior is in great shape, but partially taken apart. I removed some of the trim so I could replace the headliner, but never got one to put back in. The dash was in perfect shape but I dropped it when it was out of the car, now it has 2 cracks and a corner got kinda "dented." All the option parts and the Turbo RS parts are still there, and you might even find a build sheet in the car somewhere! I have an 84' Turbo RS too and I found a build sheet in that one, but I didnt want to pull this one apart just to look for it. This is a garaged California car, so there is NO RUST ANYWHERE!

Factory Options
Power Locks, T-Top roof (still has its bags and the strap to hold them down in the back) upgraded stereo system with a bigger amp/switch

Whale Tail Spoiler (NOT A MCLAREN SPOILER), Rear Window Slats/Louvers (For A Bubble Back Capri Only, No Mustangs) Anti Theft Alarm system comeplete with a key-on-off switch and a horn thing
This car is really nice, I will be happy to show it, will make an easy restoration project. Its being sold as-is, with no reserve. If the car does not sell, I will keep it and wont be relisting it. I could use the money for other projects, but I have no problems holding onto the car. Chances are, you will never see another one of these for sale again, so bid now or regret it forever!
