I am relisting this car due to the 1st winner expecting a showroom condition car from a 40 year old unrestored vehicle and the second run, 12 watchers, one low ball bid. SO, Up for sale I am listing this 1965 Mercury Montclair Breezeway for the little old lady who owns it. Her father bought the car brand new. It was last driven on the road and tagged in 2003 and has been garage kept it`s whole life. The only thing it needed to start right up was a battery and some fresh fuel. The car runs well and does not smoke. It appears the engine has had some work done to it. It has 95581 original miles. It runs and drives but I would not consider it road worthy until it has been mechanicaly gone through. The chrome on the car is fantastic inside and out with only a few minor bumps and bruises. The body is mostly rust free but the trunk has some holes due to carpet they put in it. I have researched this and the replacement trunk floor made for 65 Galaxie is the same and is available. There is some minor crash damage evident on the right front and left rear that was repaired poorly. But all in all a very solid and unique car. Even the power rear window works perfectly. As well as the AM radio and intermittent wipers. Everything works except the fuel gauge and hazard flashers, and she said thay had stopped a long time ago, well before she stopped driving it. I have tested the gauge and wiring, they are fine so the problem is the sending unit. The brakes are extremely grabby and the master cylinder was low when we pulled the car out of storage, so I`m guessing there are some wheel cylinder leaks that have contaminated the shoes. This is not a hard repair nor is it expensive. Wheel cylinders cost around $11 each. The tires are new looking but I would not drive on them. The fronts are Bias ply Firestones and the rears are Radials. Please ask questions prior to bidding. This is the last time I will be listing this car. If it does not sell this time I intend to part it out as I can use the engine and transmission. If your interested in the car less the engine and transmission, contact me and make me an offer for it in that condition. I hate to break up an original car like this but it has to go, one way or another. Thank you and happy holidays to all.

OK people, 10 watchers and no offers. I`m getting the engine hoist and chop saw ready today. Those of you watching because you have a similar car your thinking of selling, junk it. No one wants it. My Thunderbird conv. deserves this motor and transmission anyway. Plus I have a local offer for the body. So this is your LAST chance. I will not be rerunning this car. Not even the body or any of the beautirful interior chrome. 3 times is enough. Have a great Holidays
