The 1990 model was one of the first available with th 3.0LTR V6,double overhead cam,24 valve engine which increased fuel economy.EPA rated at 18mpg city and 24 highway,which is quite impressive for a roomy sedan with all of the creature comforts you could want.
This 929S is in as close to pristine condition as I think you are likely to find on a vehicle of this vintage.I see no corosion on the doors,panels or underneath.The original finish still has that new car luster with very limited imperfections.This sedan was ordered in just the rite color combination,Raven black with tan leather interior.The interior is gorgeous with absolute minimal signs of wear.The seats are full and soft as new,the original headliner is clean and tight with no signs of water leaks from the sunroof which operates soothly and seals tight.
Mechanically there will be no disappointments here.The engine fires right to life with no oil leaks or smoke around the block or from the exaust and idles right at specs.On the drive the transmission shifts smoothly thru the gears with no hesitation or unusual sounds.The acceleration is impressive and the front end is tight and pleasing and the level of comfort is superb.The brakes stop the vehicle confidently with no pull or shudder.The air conditioner works quietly while producing excellent cooling in the cabin.There are no electrical issues with the power sunroof,power windows,power door locks,power deck lid release,power seats,cruise control,original sound ststem,heat,defrost or original sound system.There are four steel-belted radials with more than ample tread on the original factory alloy rims rideing at the corners.The original spare(never used) and all jacking hardware are present and accounted for.The trunk is neat ,tidy and spacious.
