66 MGB Roadster
This is a California original car with only a few rust spots from sitting in years of elements.
The floors are solid metal with a bit of surface rust because of the wet carpets...but solid.
All in all the body is very solid and quite straight and the rust spots are very small.
I have been restoring cars for years and this is really an easy restoration.
Original paint I think.
I bought the car from the same guy who has owned since the 70s or even the sixtys and he raced it. His son sold it to me and I was going to restore it but our house burned in the October wildfires and I am selling all the projects and toys.
The engine is in unknown condition and I have not tried to start it. The son thought it had stopped running but who Knows why.
The engine numbers are proper for the car and has a weber side draft carburator and headers.
The transmission feels good when shifted and has a short throw.
The car has a very nice roll bar with inertia type thee point harness seat belts.
I think the two rear brake drums are off and in the trunk.
There are some added guages on the dash and a really nice aircraft compass.
It has lots of miscellaneous receipts and papers.
He could not find the title but I still have his information and I will assist as much as I can in getting a new one if you need it. Car will come with a Bill of Sale.
I know these cars pretty well and this is a really great and easy one to restore or (gasp) for great parts. 66 is one of the greatest years. Feel free to come by to see it. NO reserve.
I need it along with all my other toys gone as we lost our house in the October wild fires and have other priorities at the moment.
All proceeds go the "Help Tim and Chris rebuild their house" fund.
