OVERALL THIS IS A STRAIGHT CAR WITH LITTLE TO NO EXISTING RUST.
HERE ARE THE SPOTS WITH RUST...
TRUNK LID (NORMAL FOR THIS YEAR) THAT DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE PART.
RIGHT REAR BUMPER END HAS SOME RUST ON THE CHROMED PIECE. I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH IS THERE.
FLOOR PANS FRONT BOTH SIDES (HAD RUST)
I HAD NEW METAL WELDED IN!
A THIN SPOT ON THE FRONT RIGHT DOOR BY THE WINDOW. THIS IS A HOLE. SIZE IS ABOUT 1 1/2 INCHES LONG AND VERY NARROW.
A LITTLE BIT IN THE BACK WINDOW, BUT I THINK IT'S SURFACE AND COULD BE GROUND OUT.
PACKAGE TRAY IS PRETTY BAD.
THAT'S ALL OF THE RUST THAT I KNOW ABOUT!
DENTS...
ONE ON THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL WELL. THIS PUSHED THE FENDER INTO THE DOOR AND MAKES IT HARD FOR THE DOOR TO OPEN BECAUSE THEY BIND. THIS DENT IS ABOUT 2 INCHES BACK FROM IT'S NORMAL POSITION.
OTHER DINGS HERE AND THERE, BUT NOTHING SEVERE AND COULD BE EITHER DENT PULLED OR FILLED WITH MINIMAL FILLER.
THE CAR HAS A 430 IF I HAVE MY INFORMATION RIGHT. IT HAS A 2 BARREL CARB AND RUNS SMOOTH, BUT THE CARB HAS A SMALL LEAK, THEREFORE, I ONLY START IT AT THIS POINT WHEN ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. (AFTER WE START THE CAR, I NEED TO TAKE THE BATTERY OUT AND KEEP IT FOR MY OTHER CAR. JUST A LOANER IN THIS CAR TO MAKE IT START.)
THE ELECTRICAL SEEMS TO WORK FINE, BUT I HAVE STARTED TO DISMANTLE TO RESTORE, SO, I AM NOT SURE IF ALL OF THE WINDOWS WORK BECAUSE I DIDN'T CHECK THEM BEFORE I TOOK OUT THE DOOR PANELS. I KNOW THE RIGHT WING WORKS BECAUSE ODDLY ENOUGH THAT WAS THE ONE I DID CHECK.
WINDOW SWITCHES WERE ALL REMOVED BEFORE I GOT THE CAR.
THE INTERIOR IS OBVIOUSLY OUT OF THE CAR.
THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO WORK FINE, BUT SINCE I'VE NEVER DRIVEN THE CAR MORE THAN A FEW FEET TO PUT ON OR TAKE OFF A TRAILER, I DON'T KNOW MUCH MORE THAN IT WILL GO INTO AND HOLD GEARS BOTH FORWARD AND IN REVERSE.
THE BRAKES NEED TO BE WORKED ON. THEY WILL NOT STOP THE CAR AT THIS POINT. THE ONLY WAY THE CAR WILL STOP IS BY USING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. I REBUILT THE MASTER CYLINDER AND IT'S IN GOOD CONDITION, BUT THAT IS AS FAR AS I GOT ON THAT PART OF THIS PROJECT.
I ALSO HAVE THE REAR WINDOW FOR THE CAR.
NOT A BAD OPTION FOR A RESTORE PROJECT.
AS THE STORY GOES, I HAD BIG HOPES OF MAKING THIS A GREAT ROD, AND TIME AND MONEY HAVE STOPPED ME. OH, AND I'M TIRED OF IT BEING IN THE DRIVEWAY.
OH WELL, I BOUGHT THE CAR FOR 3000.00, AND WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO GET MY MONEY BACK.

THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS WHERE IT IS, WITH NO WARRANTY EITHER WRITTEN EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
BUYER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP THIS CAR OR ARRANGING FOR SHIPPING THE CAR, AND WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH SHIPPING THE CAR.
