With only 800 built, the 365 GT 2+2 was the final evolution of the classic 1960's front engine V-12 Ferrari 2 + 2's. Unlike the preceeding 250 GTE and 330 GT 2+2, the luxurious and sophisticated 365 GT 2+2 featured full independent suspension, and air conditioning and power steering were standard equipment. This particular example is fitted with the optional and highly desirable Borrani wire wheels. The chassis and motor numbers match. The motor runs, but the car needs clutch work before it will drive. The car also needs a cosmetic restoration, but with nice examples selling for six figures, this is a rare opportunity for someone on a budget to acquire a rare and highly collectible Ferrari for roughly half that amount and then restore it to their liking as time and finances permit. Plus a desirable tangible asset like this seems to be a smarter investment these days than real estate or the stock market.
