Description
You are bidding on a very rare 1968 Plymouth Valiant 2 Door Post car 3 owner with only 114,000 miles on it. The car was born with a slant six and automatic transmission it now sports around a 360 high performance Summit Crate short block engine with 10 1/2 compression ratio and 1970 340X heads that have been completely rebuilt using all new components and stainless steel valves(runs great on 93 octane). The engine has all the following parts: forged pistons, Mopar purple camshaft, roller rockers, double roller timing chain and gear, aluminum intake, 750 Holly double pumper all cooled by a large new Griffin aluminum radiator and of course headers bolted up to 2 and a quarter inch exhaust pipe going into 2-chamber Flowmaster mufflers and tail pipes with chrome tips. Car sounds absolutely great! Now back to the engine, it was professionally installed changing the complete K-frame to a V-8, also notice in my pictures it has a front sway arm, the engine was then bolted up to a completely rebuilt A833 18 spline Hemi-4-speed transmission with a new Hurst shifter. The rear end was also changed to an 8 3/4 391 posi unit and new rear brakes were installed along with wheel cylinders and new hardware kits. The front brakes were converted from drum to Wilwood disc brakes (very nice). This car is still holding on to its original paint so you can see what you are getting. The little car is very straight, the rust that I have shown in my pictures on the quarter panels would be an easy fix, the inner quarters and lips are still very solid and rust free. The floor does have some rust in it, it would possibly need a patch panel, and this also would be a simple fix. All gauges work, all windows roll up and down fine, all lights and accessories work just fine with no issues. This car is very tight and a joy to drive not to mention the power it has is UNBELIEVABLE. This car runs and drives out great with no issues or overheating when I bought this car I drove it 170 miles back home, it cruises great at 75mph. The engine, transmission and rear end all have about 7000 miles on them since they were professionally installed. To make a long story short do what little body work this car needs and some interior work, put some paint on and go show it, all the expensive stuff has already been done for you. The only reason I am selling this car is that I have too many projects now and just don’t have the time to finish it. I have more money in this car than I am listing it for and I have also watched 3 of these cars sell on eBay for between 12,000 and 18,000 when completed. This will make a very nice car and keep in mind you can drive it while you are fixing it up. I have sold and restored many of these cars, I try to describe them very accurately, everyone I have sold to on eBay has been pleased with their purchase, just check my feedback.
