This car was sold new in California but spent most of it's life in Nevada . It belonged to my brother inlaw untill he died. It sat for a few years untill I got it . I put newer tires on and took the heads off the motor to check the condition . The cylinders looked great inside. The cam had minimal wear. Numbers match motor and It retains the origanal carb, intake. ex, brackets, radiator (recored) AC compresor, Air cleaner assembly, Distributor. The starter and water pump have been replaced along with some new hoses. The car starts right up and runs good . The transmision shifts ok and is not noisy but maybe a new filter and fluid would be nice. I blead the brakes and installed a new master cylinder. The car stops real good . The rear diff is 8 1\4 ,271 gears and with a 2bl 318 gets about 20 mpg hiway.
The cars interior is original and is in amazing condition for a desert car but most things need repacing . The kick panels and headliner are good. The floor pans are in exellent condition . The Am radio lights up but I can't get a station on it . I replaced the instrument cluster voltage regulator . The AC controls slide nicely and the fan works good . The AC needs a charge . I did'nt take any lines apart when I took the heads off. I drove the car a few miles to see how it ran and the front end pieces are tight and the allinment is good.
The original paint was ok in some places but real faded in others and there was some primer. I wanted to get some paint on it to cover the metal and sand it all down to check the condition of the body . There was some body filler on the front right fender on the frontmost upper center but not thick . Drivers side quarter panel has real thin filler on the front area where the window is. The drivers door is replaced and had some filler on the front center. The doors close well and windows roll up and down good . I lubed the tracks .There was no rust on any of the body panels. The body needs more smoothing and the paint is unbuffed. I didn't intend to keep the car or I would have put an extra weekend into finishing the body . The paint color is T6 . I just used the factory color enamel to paint it . The rear bumper is ok but needs recrome . The bumpers look original. I found NO Rust on the body panels . I Cleaned the whole car with a pressure washer and poped the rear Quarter panel drain plugs out and not much dirt ran out. The trunk pan is mostly good but needs replaced or patched in places. The rear window does not leak . I think a cooler leaked in it and caused it to rust on the rear drivers side. I took the trunk pad out and tossed it in the trash. The origanal complete jack and good spare are all that's in there now. All the glass is in good original condition. I did not take the trim pieces off around the windows to check for rust but the car did not leak any inside . The car was garaged and rainy days are very few here in Nevada .
The car comes with the fender tag and build sheet, origanal warrenty papers singed from west valley Dodge in Los Gatos California on 9-30-1969.
This would be an exellent car to restore to stock or make a ride of your choice.
I have a 440 block , Forged crank, 906 heads and a 727 trans that comes with the car. The condition of these are unkown . just parts that he had gathered and came with the car when I bought it . I can put theses parts inside the car before transport.
I will work with your shipping company to help you get the car . It can stay safely here for awhile if needed untill arangments are made. The car will not leave untill all payment has cleared.
Attention all non paying bidders !!!! You are entering a contract. I reserve the right to sell the contract to a collection agency . Nevada has some of the best there are. They are notorious for coming after their depters relentlesly no matter where you may live.
Opening bid meets reserve.
