1999 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro – Automatic with Tiptronic
For sale is my 1999 Audi A4 with 110K miles. Car has never been involved in any accidents. I am in the possession of a clear title.
If you are looking for an Audi, you already know that they ALL need an expensive Timing Belt replacement job around 100k miles mark. In this case this work has already been completed less than 5k miles ago by a professional Audi shop. This is a $1000-$1500 job which you will not get around with Audis.
In addition to the belts, rollers, tensioner kit, etc., I also had the shop replace the valve cover and gasket just to be safe. The car is 100% sound and reliable mechanically and can be driven for another 100k miles.
The car has the famed Quattro all-wheel drive system, which comes very handy during the winter. No amount of snow in Chicago has ever slowed down this car.
The rear seats fold down (asymmetrically) to provide a huge trunk space.
Every option on the car is in perfect working condition including:
- Automatic Climate Control, Heat, Cruise Control, Keyless Entry with Anti Theft protection, Power Windows front and rear, headlight washers, etc.
This model comes with some of the sport package options including the sport steering wheel with Tiptronic and aluminum inserts in the interior décor.
The only flaws (reflected in my sales price) are of cosmetic nature:
- The bottom of driver seat is ripped. I am currently looking for a replacement. Every other seat including the rear bench is in perfect condition. (Have additional pix).
Note: I am currently looking for a replacment. I will credit $200 of the final price to the buyer, should I not find another seat in time. This will allow you to either get it fixed or find anther one in your local market for less.
- A few stone chips and scratches, which I can forward pictures of.
If you are looking for an extremely reliable car for many years (especially winters) to come, you should consider this one. This has been my private car and as such very well taken care of. The only reason why I am selling this car is the addition of another, larger Audi to our household.
I have priced this car below the private party value in KBB. Compared to other Audis of similar mileage, you will save at least $1000 based on the work that was just done to the car. I can also provide the car fax to show clean history.
