Your looking at a nice example of a 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider. The color is the original silver, and the interior is also the nice factory combination of a dark brown and black. I have no reason to think the odometer is not the original mileage. I have aquired this car through some trading, so I will describe it to the best of my ability. I am not a mechanic or expert in automobiles. The title is clear and in hand. It is titled in the State of California. Ok here we go..
The body seems to be all original panels. There has been body work done to the passenger rear quarter, and a few spots around the car. The body work is not the best, but I did see the car before the work, and it wasn't bad to begin with. The trunk lid has been replaced, and is straight. The hood, trunk, and doors open and close fine. The drivers floor pan has had a patch put in. There is some rust on that pan near the foot rest. There are some slight rust spots at various areas, but not a rust bucket at all. In fact, the undergarriage looks very clean and original. The convertible frame is very functional, but the canvas has several rips and will have to be replaced. Windows role up easily. The windshield does have a small crack on the drivers side.
The car starts and drives, and seems to be in good running condition. I am not a mechanic, so I will describe what I have noticed. The generator light comes on, but the battery hasn't died yet. I have only driven the car around the block a few times because I have not registered or insured it, but it shifts good, brakes well, and is fun to drive such a small car!. The tires are in good condition, and hold air.
Overall, in my opinion, this car is a good candidate for restoration The color combination is awesome, and with a little bodywork and a few parts it can be a nice driver. There are several small things like the rear trunk missing whatever holds it up, passenger tailight needs to be wired, and the stereo doesn't work that the car will need, as typical from a car this old.
This car is sold AS-IS where is with no warranties or guarantees. It is a 30 year old car that needs repairs.
